IT’S NICE TO MEET YOU
Hi, I’m Michael.
I’m a writer and historian who has contributed to The Atlantic, The New Yorker, WIRED, Vox, The New York Times, and other publications.
I live in Brooklyn and work by day as a copywriter. I am also a freelance producer for the Economics of Everyday Things podcast.
My first book, The Other Olympians: Fascism, Queerness, and the Making of Modern Sports, was published in 2024 and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. (Read all about the book here.)
My second book, Give Me Some Credit, will trace the history of the modern credit reporting system.
